Request for Representatives
At the suggestion of the Telephone Committee, we are asking each group to have a Telephone Rep. Responsibilities for this position are to keep an updated telephone list for the 12-Step contact books and coordinate with your area's phone captain to ensure that each 12-hour time slot is filled when it is your group's turn to take the phones. One year minimum sobriety is suggested for this two year position. Our goal is to ensure that Suffolk County continues to lead by example and is able to carry the message to the still-suffering alcoholic.
We would ask that each group contact your district phone captain using the list of numbers provided at the right; and arrange for a presentation outlining the function of the A.A. Hotline. This will enable each group to fulfill its commitment to Intergroup, A.A. as a whole, and allow individual members to be of s
