Five from page one
Mustering any and all the courage I had, and praying for His will, I met with my sponsor for what I thought was going to be a 20 minute talk.  I would just blurt it all out and get it over with ASAP.  People plan, god laughs.
THREE and ONE HALF HOURS later, I felt like someone had lifted a grand piano off of my back.
The key for me in taking the fifth step was a leap of faith. I was trusting God to put the right individual in front of me so that I could work the program to the best of my ability at that particular moment in my life. Aside from the reward of relief, I also learned to have trust and faith with fellow AAs, as well as God.

Archives from page one
*We now have 25 Suffolk AAs with 30 years of sobriety who have signed our original Big Book. We would  love to have everyone with 30 plus years to inscribe it and this book will become a permanent part of our archives.  Contact the Archives for more information.
*Last but not least - the ongoing project to write the history of Alcoholics Anonymous Suffolk County is - well- ongoing. Please send us the story of group(s) or meeting(s).  How did it get started; by whom?*The histories have been slow in coming in but when they do, they have been wonderful.  Unfortunately, far too many meetings have no idea what their histories are. Old-timers have moved away or passed on and tragically these wonderful stories have been lost forever.  Please help us preserve our past so we can pass it on to future AAs. This is in keeping with Step 12 of Alcoholics Anonymous; we share our strength, hope, and experience so that others may recover. Your memories are priceless.                                        - Archive Bob
