The Answering Service Committee is continuing to ask each group to have a Phone Rep. Your Group Phone Rep is responsible for keeping an updated telephone list for the 12-Step contact books and coordinate with your area's phone captain to ensure that each 12-hour time slot is filled when it is your group's turn to take the phones. One year minimum sobriety is suggested for this two year position. Our goal is to guarantee that Suffolk County continues to lead by example and is able to carry the message to the still-suffering alcoholic

The Committee asks that each group contact your district phone captain using the list of numbers provided above and arrange for a presentation outlining the function of the A. A. Hotline. Your phone captain should be in regular contact with your group. If you cannot reach your phone captain, contact the coordinator for your area. We will not be able to continue to carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic unless each member and group accepts their share of the responsibility. Back Next
