Suffolk Intergroup Association of A.A.  BULLETIN      JULY,  2004 SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE MEETING DATES FOR THE MONTH OF JULY: GROUP PHONE SCHEDULE
FOR JULY 4-31/AUGUST 1-14:

Phone volunteers are needed to fill in when the assigned Group cannot muster enough people to fill a week's commitment.  In this case, you will have several days notice.  Volunteers are also needed to fill in during emergencies and last minute cancellations without much advance notice.  We need both people who can take a 12 hour shift, and people who are available for only a few hours.  Call Dave F., Answering Service Chair.
24 HOUR HOTLINE - 631-669-1124 HELP WANTED      People are needed to take shifts at the SIA office.  Volunteers are needed both to take regular shifts, between 9:00AM and 3:00 PM, except Sundays, and to fill in in emergencies.  Office work involves answering the phones and light paperwork.  Volunteers also  help with committee work.  Anyone who is interested contact office manager, Walter S., at  654-1150.
Request for Representatives
At the suggestion of the Telephone Committee, we are continuing to ask each group to have a Telephone Rep. Responsibilities for the position are to keep an updated telephone list for the 12-Step contact books and coordinate with your area's phone captain to ensure that each 12-hour time slot is filled when it is your group's turn to take the phones.  One year minimum sobriety is suggested for this two year position.  Our goal is to guarantee that Suffolk Country continues to lead by example and is able to carry the message to the still-suffering alcoholic.
We would ask that each group contact your district phone captain using                the list of numbers provided on the reverse side; and arrange for a                     presentation outlining the function of the A. A. Hotline. This will enable                each group to fulfill its commitment to its group, A. A. as a whole, and                     allow the individual members to be of service.       -
Thank you A. A. Hotline Committee
