HappyAnniversarySuffolk Intergroup!
It was 31 years ago (May 1973), that a group of courageous AAs took the initiative and split off from New York City Intergroup to better serve the suffering alcoholic in Suffolk County.
Action At the Archives:
We finally have an Archives Committee! Welcome to 'E' from Sayville, who is helping get our 31 years of mess into some kind of order. We hope to have everything organized and cataloged 'one day.' This is a slow and tedious - but rewarding - process.
And we still need all the help we can get! Remember, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
Thanks to office volunteer Linda from Riverhead. We have all of our SIA
Bulletins organized and in archival plastic covers. Sadly, we are missing many back issues, so before you toss out any, please check with us first. These are a valuable record of Suffolk A.A. history.

"

and 'how am I ever going to get through this?' As far as I was concerned, if I wrote down all of my shortcomings (using the seven deadly sins as a guide), God would already know, and I would know (as honestly as someone could be only eight months into sobriety). But how to do tell this 'stuff' to someone else?
