Suffolk County has a critical need for groups to step up and volunteer to take one week out of the year to be of service working our 24/7 Hotline.
This is not just about finding meetings for someone to attend. By answering the phones you are providing a level of support that can make a significant difference in someone's life.
You will be addressing a critical need, and support individuals who may not have access to other resources. By working the Hotline, it helps you grow personally and is a rewarding and fulfilling experience to see the impact of your efforts, as well as develop new skills and knowledge.
Through volunteering, our volunteers can gain a deeper understanding of addiction and recovery and about different approaches to treatment, and gain insight into the challenges individuals with addiction face.
Overall, working our 24/7 Hotline can be a highly rewarding and meaningful experience that offers numerous personal benefits, and by helping others to stay sober, it also helps you to stay sober.
